I agree with one of the comment to the blog that sociopath is probably a better term. And probably beyond that, we probably need something like sociopath-lite to describe people that aren't sociopaths but exhibit sociopath behaviors. Of course, some of the most successful (by some definition of successful) engineers and managers I've seen demonstrate sociopathic behaviors.

And I'm thinking maybe we all need to browse through a book I recently noticed: 'The No Asshole Rule'.
